It is the feeling of being safe in your body. The confidence to trust your instincts.
Motherhood asks us to leave behind who we were and step into someone entirely new. Becoming a mother isn't simply bringing a baby home - is finding your way home to yourself again, after being a home to someone else.
For some, home is found in a partner's hand during labour. For others, it is in the first moments of holding their baby, the comfort of feeling truly seen and understood, or it's honouring the beauty in their new body through imagery.
To become home is to arrive, not at a destination, but at a deeper sense of self.
